Dear LILA community,
It is Fashion Revolution week and this year marks the 10 year anniversary of the tragic Rana Plaza disaster. A time where thousands of innocent garment workers lost their lives.
As a fashion designer contributing to the fashion industry, it breaks my heart when things like this happen. It sometimes makes me question whether I should even be in this industry. However, at the end of the day, it makes me feel motivated to do better and change the narrative.
All LILA pieces are made with love and intention, right here in New Zealand. My pricing provides above living wage to myself and any workers that I collaborate with. My 'pre-order' system allows you to thoughtfully consider what you buy, encourages slower production and lessens fabric waste.
When you purchase from LILA by Liv, you can feel good knowing that you will receive a quality garment that will last. You're supporting a business that cares and I will always be transparent with you about our conscious journey.
To conclude: I encourage you to shop thoughtfully and always research before you buy. If you ever have any questions about LILA by Liv, please reach out. I truly value the connections I have with my clients. Thank you always for your support.
Kindest,
Liv Young | Founder & Designer of LILA by Liv
